Also good for the office, are the very durable metal stackable storage bins.  These are available in light to heavy duty versions, and are perhaps the most long-lasting of all the different types of storage bins.  However, unlike the other varieties, the metal makes them vulnerable to corrosion. The heavier versions are often used for storing heavy duty tools such as in industry, or in mechanic shops.  Those that are made of lighter material can be used in the office to store files and folders.

Wooden stackable storage bins are more suited for the home.  They usually tend to be more decorative, and are often so made that they can complement the room décor.  As a result, they can be used out in the open like in the living room, bedroom, or bathroom, and such spaces where they can offer an artistic appeal.  They should not be placed in an area that is susceptible to mold or moisture.

Stackable storage bins are available online as well as from several stores and manufacturers.  The fact that they can be stacked high, without posing any danger, gives you the flexibility to better utilize the space in your home or office.  They are a relatively inexpensive solution, and can go a far way in helping you to declutter and organize your space.
